Mobile Diesel Technician (B)
Job Overview
The Mobile Technician B will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment. The technician will perform job duties independently with limited supervision mentor and assist vehicle technicians as needed, complete Commercial Customer asset PMs and Repairs at remote Commercial Customer work sites. Must be equipped with personal hand tools, (removed box tools are stored in Service bed of truck). Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Basic skills in welding and cutting torch operation
  • Basic diagnostic tool skills
  • Basic Computer knowledge
  • Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks
  • The technician needs to provide their own tools
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Tools, equipment, machinery and, or materials used
  • Operate power, hand, diagnostic tools, and material handling equipment
  • Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors
  • Must be capable of driving and working out of a mobile shop truck
  • Must be able to work a exible schedule and potentially be able to vary the start and nish times including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for shift assigned must be able to work out in the elements at commercial customer work sites
  • Ability to work remotely at various commercial customer sites without direct supervision

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification
  • Valid Drivers License
