Job description

REPORTS TO: Director of Customer Engagement
HOURS: Part Time
DEPARTMENT: IT
REQUIRED TRAVEL: Limited local or regional
LOCATION: Evart, MI

What You'll Do
The IT Coordinator provides dependable onsite technology support for SpringHill staff and operations. This role is primarily focused on core IT responsibilities, including user support, account administration, hardware deployment, network support, equipment maintenance and documentation.
The position supports many of SpringHill's highest-volume technology needs, including helpdesk services, onboarding and termination, computer maintenance, email administration, printers, network infrastructure, security systems and vendor coordination.
How You'll Lead
User Support and Administration
o Serve as the primary onsite contact for routine IT support requests.
o Troubleshoot computers, printers, phones, software and connectivity issues.
o Manage user accounts, email access, permissions, onboarding and offboarding.
o Prepare, configure and deploy computers, mobile devices and related equipment.
o Provide clear, patient technology support to staff with varying levels of technical experience.
o Maintain helpdesk records and communicate progress on open issues.
Infrastructure and Equipment
o Monitor and support wired and wireless networks, servers, printers and phone systems.
o Assist with equipment purchasing, inventory, setup, maintenance and replacement.
o Support backup processes, endpoint protection, patching and cybersecurity controls.
o Assist with security cameras, gate-access systems and other operational technology.
o Coordinate with outside vendors and managed service providers when specialized support is needed.
o Maintain accurate system, equipment and process documentation
Operational Support
o Support software administration and basic licensing needs.
o Help maintain domains, DNS records, file storage and shared resources.
o Assist with scheduled upgrades, infrastructure projects and system transitions.
o Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements.
How You'll Succeed
o Staff receive responsive, professional and understandable IT support.
o User accounts and equipment are ready when employees begin work.
o Technology issues are documented, prioritized and resolved efficiently.
o Computers, networks and shared systems remain reliable and secure.
o Equipment inventory and technical documentation remain current.
o Vendors and outside support partners receive clear information and follow-through.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For
o Commitment to SpringHill's mission, values and faith-centered culture.
o Three to five years of experience in IT support, systems administration or a similar role.
o Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows computers, user accounts, networks and printers.
o Working knowledge of cybersecurity, endpoint protection, backups and access controls.
o Strong troubleshooting, organization and communication skills.
o Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a 20-hour weekly schedule.
o A service-oriented approach and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
o Relevant degree, certification or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Physical Demands
Physical demands include walking between buildings, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, sitting or standing for extended periods and working with computer and network equipment. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
