Position Summary
The goal of the Manager, Maintenance and Repair (M&R) is to lead all Maintenance & Repair (M&R) related operations and business management on both a global and local level, and to monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) through process optimization and the on-time provision of services to customers.
This position has overall managerial responsibility for leading the Maintenance & Repair Team. The role requires fostering a culture of customer centricity and responsiveness with an agile, service-oriented mindset. In addition, the Manager, Maintenance and Repair must implement and continuously improve processes and best practices within the team that can withstand intense internal and external scrutiny, while remaining proactively prepared for urgent troubleshooting and response to problems.
Job Overview
The following outlines the major aspects of the role and estimated percentage of time allocated to each responsibility.
Responsibility - Leads the global Maintenance & Repair team from a technical perspective and with managerial responsibility, including training, coaching, hiring, disciplinary measures, personnel strategies, and performance appraisals for the local M&R team. Ensures team performance and task completion in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic goals. - Coordinates strategic goals and objectives, training and development, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic performance management in conjunction with regional management to ensure alignment between local regions and corporate goals and strategy. - Continuously monitors capacity planning and the progress of all M&R tasks, conducts gap analyses, reports on risks associated with M&R orders, and develops solutions. - Develops, implements, analyzes, and optimizes processes and standards to increase efficiency, enhance customer focus, and reduce costs. - Serves as the global point of contact for tool reliability efforts and assists with problem-solving activities, including Root Cause Analysis, Containment Actions, Corrective Actions, and related initiatives. Directs change management activities for the M&R team, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Corrective Actions, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. - Responsible for preparing and maintaining the annual budget, including headcount planning for the assigned department, and liaises with regional management as applicable. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Competencies
Qualifications / Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering required.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.

Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional engineering experience required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of managerial experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within In-Line Inspection (ILI) technologies preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process methodologies required.
  • Experience working in an international and culturally diverse environment required.
  • Knowledge of Reliability Engineering and intermediate commercial/business knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with budgeting and cost analysis preferred.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, as well as the local language, required.
