The CCTV Operator is responsible for utilizing specialized closed-circuit digital video equipment on mobile platforms to conduct inspections of inaccessible drainage conduits, including sanitary, combined, and storm sewers. The work can be physically demanding but above all else, it is extremely rewarding! Your success will directly impact the environment & quality of water in your community!
Typical Duties:
• Responds to incoming requests for line inspections or in conjunction with preventative maintenance schedules and determines the optimum method of conducting an inspection based upon field conditions
• Directs and supervises the activities of Laborers and Equipment Operators, assigned to assist with the inspection operation, including necessary preparation procedures
• Deploys equipment and conducts the inspection by directing the movement of the unit through the system and adjusting the camera to diagnose problems
• Takes appropriate video recordings and photographs
• Maintains equipment in good operating condition by adjusting, cleaning, lubricating and performing minor repairs
• Maintains a supply of replacement parts and supplies required to conduct inspections
• Enforces established health and safety standards and procedures
• Completes all required inspection reports and administrative documentation
Position Requirements
Basic requirements:
  • CCTV Pipeline Inspection experience required
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and computer skills
  • Safety and customer service oriented
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces and utilizing all provided personal protective equipment
  • Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the customers and team members
  • Ability to function effectively outside under a variety of weather conditions
  • Lift 35 lbs for short periods
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted US driver's license and be able to maintain insurable status under the company's auto policy.
  • Drug Screen and background check are part of the preemployment process
  • Must be reliable, dependable and flexible - shifts are typically weekdays but occasional night, weekend and out-of-town shifts may be required as needed
  • Proficient with mobile technology (i.e. iPads, laptops, email, etc.)
  • Must be able to work on the road and in the office with ability to drive company vehicles
  • Must maintain our Company's "No Jerk" culture
