Field Operations Shift SupervisorAbout Vale

Vale is redefining how people experience matcha through our fleet of premium Mobile Matcha Bars. We believe exceptional hospitality, operational excellence, and great people are the foundation of our success. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a hands-on leader who can take ownership of daily field execution, develop our Matcha Ambassadors, and ensure every Vale Matcha Bar (VMB) consistently operates at a high standard.

Position Summary

The Field Operations Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations across Vale's Matcha Bars during peak operating hours. This role serves as the primary field leader and first point of escalation during active shifts. You will own hospitality, team development, operational execution, and culture across multiple locations. Working closely with the Field Operations Lead, you will resolve day-to-day issues, coach employees, coordinate staffing, maintain standards, and help ensure operations run smoothly without requiring constant senior leadership involvement.

Expected Schedule

This position is designed to support Vale during our busiest operating periods which requires flexibility, as scheduled hours will vary based on weekly bar activations and business needs.

What You Will OwnHospitality

You will own the guest experience across Vale's Mobile Matcha Bars through conducting regular hospitality and operational spot checks; coaching Matcha Ambassadors on guest engagement, professionalism, drink quality, speed of service, and cleanliness.

People

You will own the day-to-day coaching, development, and support of our Matcha Ambassadors.

Execution

You will own smooth and consistent operations during active shifts.

Culture

You will own the tone, accountability, and energy of the team during the shifts you support.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, develops people, and remains calm in a fast-moving environment.

Strong candidates will have:

  • Leadership experience in hospitality, food service, retail, or multi-location operations.
  • Experience training, coaching, and holding employees accountable.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving ability.
  • A strong commitment to hospitality and customer experience.
  • The ability to move between locations and adjust priorities throughout the day.
  • The confidence to make decisions without waiting for constant direction.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
  • Frequent travel between Mobile Matcha Bar locations throughout the Seattle area.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Availability during peak operating hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
