Job description

Description
Do you see a system where others see a pile of components? Do you find yourself mentally re-engineering solutions before the meeting is even over? Do you believe a drawing or spec done right saves the next engineer three days of confusion - and you actually do it right? Do you thrive when the problem is complex, the answer isn't obvious, and someone needs to figure it out? Do you build electrical solutions that hold up three product generations from now - not just for this quarter?
If this sounds like you, then we need to talk...
Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles and mobile healthcare units, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join our team. The Electrical Engineer II at Frazer serves as the hands-on electrical subject matter expert - designing, testing, and integrating electrical systems across our vehicle product portfolio and ensuring every build meets the standards that first responders depend on. This role sits at the intersection of engineering precision and real-world production impact, with direct influence over the quality and reliability of the vehicles Frazer delivers to communities across the country.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Electrical Engineer II Look Like?
  • Designs and tests electrical systems, circuits, and components for new and current vehicle platforms - making sure every decision is intentional, documented, and built to last.
  • Digs into root cause analysis when a system doesn't perform as designed, tracing the issue to its source and building a documented solution that prevents recurrence.
  • Develops work breakdown structures and resource estimates for multi-phase electrical engineering projects, keeping timelines accurate and stakeholders aligned.
  • Reviews and updates drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical documentation to reflect the latest design revisions and production sequences.
  • Partners with mechanical, structural, and certification engineering teams to ensure electrical systems integrate cleanly across every vehicle platform.
  • Coordinates with vendors and suppliers on component requirements, disposition of non-conforming items, and technical specifications.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and assesses how they can be integrated into Frazer's product portfolio to drive innovation and performance improvements.
  • Steps onto the shop floor to support production operations and modernization initiatives with hands-on technical guidance.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of related electrical engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD-Electrical and experience with ERP and MRP enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and configuration development, BOM development, manufacturing sequence development, and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing tasks and multi-phase engineering projects.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines - mechanical, structural, automotive, and certification.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Related technical degree with 5+ years of progressive manufacturing and production responsibility.
  • Conceptual knowledge of custom vehicle production.
  • Familiarity with automotive or specialty vehicle electrical systems and certification requirements.

Skills (to Pay the Bills)
Here's a list of a few competencies that the Electrical Engineer II at Frazer should have...
  • You're a systems thinker - you see how electrical decisions made upstream ripple through production, certification, and field performance, and you design with all of that in mind.
  • You're analytically rigorous - you don't guess when you can measure, and you don't release a design until the data supports it.
  • You take ownership - you manage your projects, hit your deadlines, and communicate proactively when something needs to change.
  • You're precise with documentation - you know that a drawing or spec done right saves the next engineer days of confusion, and you actually do it right.
  • You collaborate without friction - you move between engineering disciplines, production teams, and vendors without losing the technical thread.
  • You're always learning - you actively research new technologies and bring informed, implementation-ready recommendations to the table.

Why Frazer?
Frazer is a fast-growing company pushing the boundaries of what's possible in mobile healthcare. You'll join a team of driven, diverse people who take their work seriously and each other personally. We rely on our core values, invest in our people's growth, and give everyone room to unleash their potential.
What's in it for you:
  • A weekly paycheck - you get paid every Friday.
  • Company shutdown from Christmas through New Year's, plus 10 paid holidays and PTO that starts accruing from day one.
  • On-site micromarket, flexible schedules, and a real work-life balance.
  • Free financial wellness classes plus professional development and skills training.
  • 401k with company match, health, dental, and disability coverage.
  • A culture built on honesty, accountability, and continuous improvement - not politics.

Compensation
$94,000 - $109,000 annually
Commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
Schedule & Location
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
1410 Gillingham Ln, Sugar Land, TX 77478
No travel required.
