Job description

Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at Adjutant Solutions Group (ASG), you will apply strong technical expertise and practical project coordination skills to design, develop, prototype, and test electrical hardware and firmware. This role includes responsibilities in schematic creation, PCB layout, component selection, electrical calculations, standards research, system testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with relevant IEC/UL, FCC, ISO, and other industry standards.

You will collaborate with the PMO, technicians, contractors, and cross‑functional engineering teams to support project execution, maintain timelines, ensure quality, and uphold ASG’s values and methodologies. Success in this role requires technical depth, proactive communication, and the ability to contribute effectively to team goals.


Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Development
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
  • Create and review electrical schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Develop firmware and software flowcharts, libraries, and state machines as needed.
  • Perform research and analysis to support design decisions and resolve technical issues.
  • Select, research, and procure electrical components and materials.
  • Oversee hardware and software prototype development and testing activities.
Project Management & Methodologies
  • Understand and apply firmware development principles.
  • Demonstrate functional understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Understand project management principles and ASG’s stage‑gate process.
  • Execute stage‑gate activities in alignment with established procedures.
Collaboration and Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, systems, manufacturing, software, and PMO teams to integrate electrical systems into broader project deliverables.
  • Provide informal mentoring to Level 1 engineers and Level 0 interns in alignment with ASG’s growth and contribution policy.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and consistent alignment with ASG’s values and principles.
Technical Support
  • Troubleshoot and support complex electrical systems for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Investigate and resolve issues in both hardware and software domains.
Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure designs meet applicable industry standards and safety requirements.
  • Maintain and update technical drawings, reports, test data, and project documentation.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, materials, and best practices relevant to electrical engineering.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related discipline.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & BehaviorsTechnical Skills
  • Proficient understanding of electrical engineering principles, digital and analog circuits, and power systems.
  • Proficient programming experience in C, C++, and Java.
  • Firmware development and testing experience is required.
  • Experience with Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) mobile app development.
  • Knowledge of NFC, BLE, and other wireless communication platforms.
  • Proficient in CAD tools for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, Altium, OrCAD).
  • Proficient in electrical simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
  • Strong understanding of microcontrollers, PLCs, control systems, and embedded systems.
  • Programming experience in C and Python for embedded and automation applications.
  • Understanding and application of Agile methodologies for firmware development.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organization and attention to detail.
