As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. This role offers the opportunity to work in a caring, team-oriented culture that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while making a meaningful impact each day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and activity across the location, assist with directions and general information, and support a professional environment during daily operations and special events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
