The Rope Access Technician will be responsible for the following actions/tasks:
  • Maintaining organization on overall project management directives for Rope Access inspection projects.
  • Assisting in scheduling inspection activities related to Rope Access inspections
  • Ensuring federal, state and Company safety policies are being followed on every project.
  • Reporting to and work with the Division Manager regarding resources necessary to complete projects in accordance with NVI's Quality Program.
  • Responsible for the overall rope access safe work practices at the work site.
  • Responsible for designating hazard and safe zones for safety practices.
  • Ensuring all safe work practices are in place and capable of executing them throughout the shift.
  • Completing safe work permits and ensure all personnel are meeting or exceeding minimum requirements.
  • Ensuring all rope equipment is inspected prior to work beginning and after each work shift concludes.
  • Performing Level I, II, or III rope access responsibilities when necessary to complete quality services.
  • Performing Nondestructive Testing when necessary to ensure quality services are completed.
  • Other assignments noted by the Company.

Required Qualification(s)
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D.
  • Must possess a valid level 1 IRATA or SPRAT certification card.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and able to pass an MVR evaluation.
  • Valid TWIC TSA background identification card.
  • Able to pass Fit for Duty Testing and Drug/Alcohol policies/procedures.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Nondestructive Testing industry credentials and certifications per CP-189 or SNT-TC1A written training and certification programs.
  • ASNT or ACCP credentials and certifications.
  • Industrial radiation safety course completion.
