Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist requiring ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification and 2 years of experience to perform CT scans and radiography X-rays.

Details
  • Work in a hospital setting performing CT scans and radiography/X-ray procedures
  • Cross-trained role covering both CT and X-ray, working alongside another regular staff CT/Radiology Tech
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
  • First week includes orientation in CT and X-ray, starting with day shifts and transitioning to night shifts
  • Rotating shift pattern includes Tue-Wed-Thu one week and Sun-Mon-Fri-Sat the next
  • No on-call requirement, but rotational holiday coverage applies
  • Expected to float within the hospital as needed
  • Meditech charting system experience preferred
Requirements
  • ARRT certification as RT(R)(CT) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Travel experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with abdomen, lower extremity, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, upper extremity, and head imaging
  • Experience with fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow and contrast enema
  • Experience with mobile/surgical procedures including C-arm, portable abdomen, and portable chest
  • Experience in adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient settings, ED, ICU, and OR
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and radiation safety
  • Familiarity with GE equipment
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information
  • Perform a wide range of CT and radiography procedures across multiple body systems and clinical settings
  • Completion of required labs within 48-72 hours of contract signing is requested to ensure timely clearance for start
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Previous staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 6 months and remain in good standing to be eligible for return
