POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager for our fast-growing team. They will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of assigned HVAC and mechanical construction projects from inception through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards and client satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize, and manage all project activities to ensure successful execution from start to finish.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed to meet milestones.
  • Lead project kickoff, progress, and closeout meetings with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Serve as the main liaison with clients, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure adherence to scope, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Track project costs and prepare progress reports, forecasts, and billing documentation.
  • Monitor field performance and provide guidance to ensure work quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure timely material and equipment delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, conflicts, and delays before they impact the project.
  • Manage project closeout, including commissioning, punch lists, and submission of final documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all project activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution 
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to align expectations 
  • Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, and company standards

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position is reported directly to the local Branch Leader.

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the HVAC, mechanical, or construction industries.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems, construction methods, and project sequencing.
  • Proficiency with project management and design software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, change orders, and cost tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks. 

Physical Demands 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
