Job description

We're passionate about real-world, social, mobile games that inspire players to explore the world together. We're looking for a Live Events Producer II to help drive current and upcoming Live Events and features in Pokemon GO. In this role, you will support the execution of major experiences such as Pokemon GO Fest, Pokemon GO Tour, and Pokemon GO Wild Area, helping deliver high-quality events that reach thousands of players in person and millions globally in-game.

You'll bring a combination of strong production fundamentals, operational rigor, creative problem-solving, and Pokemon GO player empathy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and excited not only to use modern tools, including AI, but to help evolve how the team plans, validates, and learns from live event execution.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play every day, whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers developing, publishing, and innovating in the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Responsibilities
  • Support quarterly and annual Pokemon GO live events aligned to key campaigns and business goals, partnering closely with design, live operations, marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Help plan and execute real-world live events reaching 5,000 to 300,000 players, as well as global in-app events reaching millions of players worldwide, while identifying opportunities to improve planning, validation, and operational readiness through AI-enabled workflows.
  • Develop and iterate on agentic AI skills and automated workflows to validate event specs, improve consistency across live event setups, and support automated analysis of live event performance and operational outcomes.
  • Drive projects from concept through launch by breaking down complex initiatives into clear workstreams, milestones, owners, and risks, and by keeping stakeholders and leadership informed of progress and blockers.
  • Partner with engineering, QA, design, art, and operations to ensure live events and related features are properly set up, tested, and launch-ready.
  • Contribute to postmortems, reporting, and process improvements by synthesizing learnings, highlighting performance insights, and helping scale stronger production practices across the team.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience producing a live service mobile game or comparable live-operated digital product.
  • Experience contributing to the growth and operation of a live product or service, ideally in collaboration with cross-functional partners across design, engineering, production, QA, and marketing.
  • Experience building, iterating on, or meaningfully improving agentic AI workflows, automated validation flows, or other practical AI-enabled systems that increase team efficiency, consistency, or decision quality.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
  • Analytical and practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to dynamic situations and shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for using AI and modern productivity tools to improve communication, planning, analysis, and execution, and to help raise the team's capabilities over time.
  • Passion for mobile games, live operations, and player experience.
  • Authentic Pokemon GO fan with a strong understanding of what makes its live events meaningful to players.
  • Willingness to travel.
Plus If...
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
  • Experience working on games or gaming platforms.
  • Experience working with external partners or IP holders and navigating structured approval processes.
  • Experience with global event coordination.
