Description

Northwest Connections is seeking Mobile Mental Health Crisis Workers to provide in-person crisis intervention and risk assessment for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Pierce County, Wisconsin. This is a part-time, on-call position with flexible scheduling, ideal for clinicians seeking supplemental income. This role operates under Wisconsin DHS 34 and Chapter 51 statutes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond on-call to mobile mental health crisis situations
  • Conduct mental health and suicide risk assessments
  • Provide crisis intervention and support least-restrictive response planning
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and community partners
  • Complete required clinical documentation

 Schedule & Location

  • Part-time, on-call
  • Available shifts: 7 days a week, 4:30 PM - 12:30 AM
  • Home-based/on-call with responses throughout Pierce County, including Ellsworth and River Falls

  Pay & Compensation

  • $40.00 per 8-hour on-call shift (paid whether dispatched or not)
  • $27.50/hour when responding (assessment, travel, documentation)
  • $0.70/mile mileage reimbursement
  • $18.00/hour training pay

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in mental health or behavioral health services (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience considered in place of degree
  • Strong skills in crisis assessment, de-escalation, and decision-making
  • Ability to respond within 30-45 minutes to most locations in the county
