Project Manager – Retail / National Rollout

Long Beach, CA | Full-Time | Hybrid Schedule (2 Days In-Office / 3 Days Remote)

The Position: We are seeking a Project Manager – Retail / Rollout to lead and oversee a growing portfolio of national retail projects. This role is responsible for managing multiple retail programs from concept through construction, coordinating internal teams and external consultants, and serving as the primary client liaison to ensure successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong architectural Project Manager with recent Retail/Rollout project experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple locations and programs simultaneously.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage multiple retail rollout projects from design through construction administration.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring project goals, budgets, and schedules are met.
  • Coordinate internal design teams, consultants, and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop project schedules, scopes of work, and staffing plans for multiple locations and rollout programs.
  • Lead project meetings, prepare agendas, and track decisions and action items.
  • Oversee permitting, agency review, and regulatory approval processes.
  • Manage contract documentation, construction administration, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Monitor project budgets, fee tracking, billing coordination, and change management.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to help build project delivery expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat work and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Project Managers in this role are responsible for coordinating both technical and administrative aspects of projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.


What You Need (Qualifications)

  • 8–12+ years of experience in architecture or project management within retail, rollout, or mixed-use sectors.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site retail rollout or prototype-based projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field preferred.
  • Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, permitting, and contract administration.
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and consultants.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage clients and internal teams.
