Job description

Circle (NYSE: CRCL) is one of the world's leading internet financial platform companies, building the foundation of a more open, global economy through digital assets, payment applications, and programmable blockchain infrastructure. Circle's platform includes the world's largest regulated stablecoin network anchored by USDC, Circle Payments Network for global money movement, and Arc, an enterprise-grade blockchain designed to become the Economic OS for the internet. Enterprises, financial institutions, and developers use Circle to power trusted, internet-scale financial innovation. Learn more at circle.com.

What you'll be part of:

Circle is committed to visibility and stability in everything we do. As we grow as an organization, we're expanding into some of the world's strongest jurisdictions. Speed and efficiency are motivators for our success and our employees live by our company values: High Integrity, Future Forward, Multistakeholder, Mindful, and Driven by Excellence. We have built a flexible work environment where new ideas are encouraged and everyone is a stakeholder.

What you'll be responsible for:

Circle is seeking a strategic and technically grounded Senior Manager, Endpoint & Trusted Environments to serve as the directly accountable security partner for Circle's most sensitive environments; including our executive and leadership population, global office and co-location sites, infrastructure, and the endpoint and mobile fleet that underpins our operations worldwide.

This role is the hands-on security owner for Circle's highest-trust environments. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and lifecycle management of security controls protecting our key leadership stakeholders, our physical office and co-location environments globally, and the systems and devices that access or interact with Circle's infrastructure. You will also own the strategy and operational management of Circle's endpoint and mobile security program, ensuring consistent, auditable protection across our global device fleet.

You are a security leader who operates at the intersection of physical and logical security, executive stakeholder management, and hands-on technical depth. You are comfortable working directly alongside senior leadership and traveling to Circle locations worldwide to ensure security controls are implemented and operating effectively. If you thrive in high-trust, high-accountability environments where precision and judgment matter, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll work on:

  • Serve as the primary security owner for Circle's key leadership stakeholders, owning the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of security controls across their corporate, home office, travel, and mobile environments.

  • Partner with the Physical Security team to ensure cohesive protection of key Circle locations and secure coordination on control boundaries, shared risk ownership, and joint response, while maintaining clear accountability for the cyber and logical security domain.

  • Architect and operate security controls for systems supporting Circle's infrastructure, ensuring strong access, monitoring, and auditability; define secure user profiles and device requirements for high-risk regions and systems.

  • Own Circle's endpoint and mobile security program end-to-end: endpoint protection platforms, device compliance policies, network, secure email gateway, and secure configuration baselines across macOS, iOS, and other managed platforms.

  • Engage directly and day-to-day with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, providing high-touch, customer-focused security guidance, in-person implementations, and ongoing support.

  • Travel to Circle's key office and locations as needed to implement, validate, and maintain security controls across diverse operating environments.

  • Develop and execute a roadmap for continuous improvement of endpoint and mobile security capabilities, aligned to the evolving threat landscape and the regulatory requirements of a global financial services and digital asset company.

  • Partner cross-functionally with IT, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Facilities to ensure location and endpoint security controls meet regulatory, audit, and contractual requirements.

  • Collaborate with the broader Security Architecture function to ensure endpoint, mobile, and location security decisions integrate cohesively into Circle's overall security program and zero-trust strategy.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security engineers responsible for endpoint and mobile security operations, high-trust environment management, and the delivery of dedicated security support to Circle's executive leadership population.

What you'll bring to Circle:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels, with direct experience engaging C-suite and senior leadership; a background in VIP security or similarly high-touch, high-trust environments is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience owning and operating an enterprise endpoint and mobile security program, endpoint protection tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Uptycs, Zscaler, WorkspaceOne), and device compliance frameworks at scale.

  • Experience securing physical office and co-location environments, including physical-logical security integration, access control frameworks, and site security assessments across a distributed global footprint, inclusive of high risk locations.

  • Familiarity with the security requirements unique to digital asset environments, including privileged access management, restricted or air-gapped system controls, and stringent audit trail requirements.

  • Adept at conducting risk assessments across both physical and logical security domains, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong collaborative skills, demonstrated by effectively partnering with cross-functional teams including IT, Facilities, Legal, and Compliance to cultivate a proactive culture of security awareness and drive continuous improvement.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, capable of anticipating future security challenges in high-trust environments and evolving control requirements.

  • Enthusiasm for scalable, reproducible security practices with strong documentation and audit readiness.

  • Self-motivated and creative problem-solver able to work independently, exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and manage competing priorities across geographically distributed environments.

  • Experience working in financial services, digital asset management, or financial technology is strongly desired.

  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements, particularly within the Financial and/or Blockchain/digital asset industry.

  • 7+ years of experience in security engineering or operations, with a minimum of two years in a senior or lead capacity managing endpoint security programs, executive/VIP security environments, or high-security physical-logical environments.

  • Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple macOS, iOS, Google Workspace, CrowdStrike, Iru, Zscaler, Proofpoint, AWS, Tines, Github.
