Job description

The App Store is the world’s safest and most vibrant app marketplace, serving more than 850 million visitors each week. Since the App Store launched in 2008, it has helped creators, dreamers, and learners of all ages and backgrounds connect with the tools and technology they need to build a brighter future and a better world. It has enabled countless new companies, spawned new industries, and created millions of jobs. A significant driver of the global economy, the App Store facilitated $1.4 trillion in developer billings and sales in the last year alone, rewarding developers and entrepreneurs for their hard work and creativity. And we believe we’re just getting started! We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of key gaming experiences across the App Store, Games App, and Game Center. Games have been at the heart of the App Store since its launch, delighting players around the world and enabling developers of all sizes to build thriving businesses. Through the App Store, the Games App, and Game Center, we help players discover, connect with, and enjoy incredible gaming experiences across the Apple ecosystem. This role is critical to shaping how players discover new games and build lasting relationships with the games they love. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in mobile gaming with exceptional product leadership, bringing a strong understanding of player behavior, engagement loops, retention mechanics, and monetization models. They are equally comfortable defining long-term strategy, influencing executive stakeholders, and diving into the details required to deliver world-class product experiences.

Description

This role will lead highly cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch, partnering closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Marketing, Developer Relations, and Executive Leadership. You will leverage a deep understanding of the mobile gaming landscape, player motivations, and industry trends to shape products and features that create value for both players and developers. The right candidate is a strategic thinker who can articulate a compelling long-term vision while maintaining rigorous attention to executional details. They can navigate ambiguity, build alignment across diverse stakeholders, and influence teams without direct authority. They are passionate about games, deeply customer-focused, and capable of balancing platform-wide opportunities with the operational excellence required to deliver meaningful outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities
  • You will define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and execution for core gaming experiences across the App Store, Games App, and Game Center.
  • Working at the intersection of players, developers, and platform capabilities, you will identify opportunities to improve game discovery, engagement, retention, social experiences, and monetization across the Apple ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12+ years of mobile games experience across product management and related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for games and a deep understanding of gaming trends, player motivations, developer needs, and the evolving mobile games landscape.
  • Strong expertise in player engagement, retention, live ops, social features, and monetization models.
  • Experience building consumer-facing products that serve large-scale audiences.
  • Proven track record of shipping products or features that have driven measurable improvements in engagement, retention, growth, or monetization.
  • End-to-end experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution and launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clarity and momentum in complex problem spaces.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and align diverse stakeholders around a common vision.
  • Strong ability to operate at multiple levels simultaneously, from defining long-term strategy to driving day-to-day execution details.
  • An exceptionally high bar for product quality and delightful user experiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
