Job Title: Copier Technician with IT Experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Copier Technician with strong IT experience to install, maintain, and repair multifunction copiers, printers, and related office equipment. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with networking and IT troubleshooting skills to support both hardware and software environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, configure, and maintain copiers, printers, and multifunction devices
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and connectivity issues
· Provide routine maintenance, including cleaning, parts replacement, and firmware updates
· Set up devices on client networks, including IP configuration, print drivers, and scan-to-email/file features
· Troubleshoot network printing, scanning, and connectivity issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
· Support integration with document management systems and cloud services
· Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
· Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and documentation
· Educate users on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting
· Collaborate with IT teams to resolve system-related issues
Required Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a copier/printer technician or similar role
· Strong knowledge of copier and printer hardware (Kyocera, Toshiba, Epson)
· Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routers, firewalls)
· Experience with Windows and/or macOS environments
· Ability to troubleshoot print servers and driver-related issues
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites
· Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree or technical certification in IT, electronics, or related field
· Experience with managed print services (MPS) environments
· Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices related to networked devices
Work Environment:
· Combination of on-site service calls and occasional remote support
· May involve lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs) and working in office or warehouse settings
