Job description

Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking an experienced Drywall Foreman to lead and manage drywall operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all aspects of the drywall trade and a proven ability to lead crews, coordinate field operations, maintain safety standards, and deliver high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, manage, mentor, and develop craft workers in the field.
  • Lead crews ranging from approximately 10-40 employees, depending on project size and complexity.
  • Manage the full drywall scope of work, including: Exterior/Interior Framing, Drywall Installation and Acoustical Ceilings (ACT). Finishing scope not included in duties.
  • Coordinate jobsite logistics and daily field operations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with other trades, subcontractors, and the project team.
  • Lead and enforce DPR's Injury Free Environment (IFE) Safety Program.
  • Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and blueprint layouts.
  • Procure, track, and coordinate installation of project materials.
  • Coordinate work scopes and assist with resource-loaded project schedules.
  • Process timesheets and maintain accurate workforce records.
  • Conduct employee coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Utilize construction technology and software to support field operations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in all aspects of the drywall trade, including supervisory or foreman-level experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and perform field layout.
  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Experience with construction software.
  • Proficient with iPad and mobile construction technology.
  • Being Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb, stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, balance, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lb.
  • Ability to work at heights and in active construction environments.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily field-based work on commercial construction jobsites.
  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to heights, noise, dust, and construction-related environmental conditions.
  • Required use of all applicable PPE, including hard hat, safety vest, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, sleeves, face shield (as required), and approved work boots.
