Job description


  • Participate in a software research and development team focused on mobile device forensic analysis and mobile device reverse engineering

  • Design, develop, test, and integrate software features

  • Work independently or with limited supervision as part of a geographically dispersed team

  • Apply software engineering and database practices to address complex technical challenges

  • Deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions

  • Interface directly with data architects and software developers

  • Ensure the data model captures the use cases handled by software systems

  • Collaborate on site during workshops throughout the year


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

  • Minimum of six years of experience as a Software Developer

  • Proficient with Python, C, C++ and other programming languages

  • Mobile app development or systems experience; iOS preferred

  • Expertise in source control management with Git

  • Deep understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SQLite

  • Mobile application decompiling

  • Comfortable viewing, analyzing, and understanding raw binary data

  • Excellent skills with developer documentation

  • Excellent skills with collaborative coding and ability to adopt shared coding practices

  • Excellent skills developing quality code using best practices such as unit testing

  • Experience collaborating closely in Agile development teams for software tools, including managing workloads through issue tracking software

  • Experience using industry standard RE tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, JEB, Hopper) to determine the function of closed-source software

  • Experience with project leadership, including managing project tasks and ensuring timelines are met

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Active Top Secret clearance

  • Ability to obtain SCI accesses with a CI polygraph

  • Preferred: Rust, JavaScript, and other programming languages

  • Preferred: Knowledge of common mobile architectures and associated x86 and ARM instructions

  • Preferred: OS-level expertise in Linux or similar

  • Preferred: Experience with GNU Debugger (GDB)

  • Preferred: Experience identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities, including memory corruption through stack overflows, heap overflows, integer overflows, and logical flaws

  • Preferred: Experience with application hooking

  • Preferred: Software release management experience

  • Preferred: Experience with Atlassian suite and software project management

  • Preferred: Computer Network Operations (CNO) experience
