Job Title: Lead Driver (Player-Coach) - PDX Location

SkyHop Global, a premier ground transportation company for airline crews, is seeking a Lead Driver (Player-Coach) for our Portland (PDX) location. We transport pilots and flight attendants between airports and hotels, delivering safe, reliable service while creating "Raving Fans."

This is a hands-on leadership role-you'll lead the team while also being in the field driving, setting the standard for safety, service, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of drivers in a fast-paced, 24/7/365 operation 
  • Build the schedule and adjust coverage based on airline activity and operational needs 
  • Assist Station Leader with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new drivers 
  • Act as a player-coach-drive routes as needed while leading by example 
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and service expectations 
  • Conduct driver ride-alongs, training, and performance feedback 
  • Oversee vehicle readiness, inspections, and coordination with Fleet Manager 
  • Lead safety meetings and reinforce policies (including no mobile device policy) 
  • Maintain strong working relationships with airport and hotel partners 
Driver Responsibilities (While in the Field):
  • Safely transport airline crew members to/from airports and hotels 
  • Assist with luggage (up to 75 lbs) 
  • Communicate effectively via radio and in person 
  • Deliver professional, on-time, customer-focused service 
  • Create "Raving Fan" experiences on every trip

Requirements:
  • Must be 21+ years old (DOT requirement) 
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License with 3+ years driving experience 
  • Clean driving record (no recent violations or at-fault accidents) 
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs 
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical 
  • Ability to obtain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card 
  • Conversational English required 
  • Must be available weekends and holidays
