Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Developer with deep expertise in Kaseya Mobile Device Management (MDM) to design, implement, and optimize a large-scale device management platform supporting healthcare devices used in home-based care environments.
The platform manages tablets, smartphones, and GPS-enabled devices for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), remote care coordination, monitoring, and compliance reporting. This role requires strong experience in Kaseya MDM architecture, device lifecycle management, security hardening, and scalable backend systems within regulated healthcare ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and enhance scalable Kaseya MDM architectures supporting thousands of healthcare devices.
  • Configure and maintain secure device enrollment, zero-touch provisioning, and OTA update mechanisms via Kaseya MDM.
  • Manage the end-to-end device lifecycle, including onboarding, policy enforcement, monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
  • Enable remote device control capabilities, including lock, wipe, app management, kiosk mode, and certificate rotation.
  • Build and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs for device telemetry, compliance validation, and operational dashboards.
  • Ensure device and data compliance with healthcare security standards and regulations.
  • Support EVV workflows by ensuring reliable GPS tracking, device uptime, and real-time data synchronization.
  • Optimize system performance for high concurrency and distributed device fleets.
  • Integrate Kaseya MDM with identity management systems, monitoring platforms, and care management applications.
  • Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous platform hardening.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to long-term architectural strategy.

Essential Skills
Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kaseya Mobile Device Management platform.
  • Deep understanding of Android Enterprise (Fully Managed / Kiosk Mode) and/or iOS device management.
  • Experience with zero-touch enrollment, remote provisioning, and large-scale device fleet operations.

Backend & Integration
  • Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot (preferred) or equivalent backend frameworks.
  • Expertise in RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with event streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka.
  • Strong database design and performance tuning using PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

Security & Compliance
  • Secure device communication using OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS.
  • Certificate-based authentication and device-level encryption enforcement.
  • Experience working in regulated healthcare environments (HIPAA or equivalent).

Cloud & DevOps
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud platform exposure: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Android application management in enterprise environments.
