Approximately 40% of the world's mobile traffic runs through an Ericsson Network, and our team is at the heart of building and testing the infrastructure that supports 5G - and the future 6G - Radio Access Networks. Our product is built on a high-performance multi-core ASIC, and our test frameworks development team delivers the infrastructure that supports Layer 1 developers worldwide. As our product evolves, testing has grown just as complex as development, and we are investing in talent to enhance and expand our automated testing capabilities.

We are looking for a motivated, creative co-op student who is excited by innovation and eager to contribute. What you will do: Collaborate with the user community to define requirements that drive new work on the Layer 1 test framework Implement, verify, and maintain new features in the Layer 1 test framework Design innovative solutions to improve the efficiency, maintainability, and usability of the toolchain Support software developers globally by troubleshooting framework and environment-related issues Assist with exploratory and non-commercial projects that require customized testing solutions The skills you bring: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science Understanding of product verification concepts, including requirements, testing, and troubleshooting Programming skills in Python; familiarity with C is a plus Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Experience with software configuration and delivery tools such as Git, Gerrit, or Jenkins Comfort working in a Linux development environment Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Knowledge of real-time embedded systems and/or multi-core architectures is an asset Familiarity with Wireless Communications Standards (3GPP/ORAN WG) is an asset Eligibility requirements: 2.7+ GPA or equivalent , Uploading an unofficial copy of your transcript Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, master's, or PhD on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the co-op Be available to work 40 hours per week Why join Ericsson.
