Job Summary: The successful individual must be fluent in electrical design techniques to design and document new products or implement product improvements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, analyzes, an makes recommendation on products for cost improvements to improve the competitive position of the company.
  • Follow SOP practices to procure materials needed to construct prototypes and supervises the design engineering of model changes.
  • Collects and analyzes test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, sources, and coordinates the procurement of new materials to support model changes.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
  • Provides support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer support.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.  Proficiency in Solid Works, Enterprise and Zuken are preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply software to develop and document electrical systems including panel, harness, and control schematics is essential.
  • Develop LEEBOY specific electric systems knowledge by working with others, vendors, and some external training.


Requirements:

Qualifications: 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field, plus four or more years of demonstrated experience in construction / agricultural equipment, automotive, truck mounted mobile hydraulic equipment and 12 & 24-volt DC control systems strongly preferred. 
  • Must have hands on experience with panel build, prototyping, wire harness development, and system trouble shooting.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD Manufacturing software - Solid Works and Zuken preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP business systems and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Programming knowledge using Danfoss Plu_1, Codesys, C++, Python preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands/fingers to reach, handle, and feel.
  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
  • The employee is required to walk.
