We're looking for a Lead iOS Engineer - Mobile Modernization to join a dedicated mobile pod delivering iOS features for a major financial-services client in a regulated, security-first environment. Pods are small and senior-anchored - you'll own the iOS architecture within your pod, set the bar for code quality, and ship production increments on a compressed timeline. We work in an AI-accelerated delivery model (AI-assisted codegen, test generation, and review) and expect engineers who can amplify their output with modern tooling.

This role is located on client site in Austin, TX 2-3 days per week.

  • 6+ years mobile development, 4+ years native iOS in Swift
  • Deep SwiftUI experience and sound grasp of iOS architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean, TCA, or similar)
  • Strong async/concurrency skills (Swift Concurrency / Combine)
  • API integration, offline/caching strategies, and secure data handling on device
  • XCTest / unit + UI testing and CI/CD (Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions)
  • App Store release experience and code-signing/provisioning fluency
  • Self-directed; productive in a fast-ramp, standards-driven pod

Preferred:

  • Financial services, fintech, or other regulated-industry experience
  • Experience building real-time trading, brokerage, or streaming market-data apps
  • Exposure to in-app AI features (conversational AI, AI-driven insights or personalization)
  • Familiarity with security/compliance (SSO/OAuth, biometrics, secure enclave, MDM)
  • Multi-device experience: iPadOS and Apple Watch (watchOS)
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tooling
  • Design-system / component-library contribution

  • Design and build native iOS features in Swift and SwiftUI (UIKit interop as needed)
  • Own architecture decisions within your pod - modularization, state management, navigation, dependency injection
  • Integrate against REST/GraphQL APIs in partnership with the pod's API engineer
  • Build performant, secure features for real-time data and transactional workflows - streaming quotes/updates, low-latency UI, and secure handling of sensitive financial data
  • Establish and enforce CI/CD, automated testing, and release standards for the pod
  • Uphold security, privacy, and compliance requirements appropriate to a regulated broker-dealer
  • Mentor a mid-level iOS engineer and contribute to shared standards across pods
  • Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery without compromising quality
