Call Center Specialist

The Call Center Specialist works as member of Admissions Department and represents LBHS and its programs to all those inquiring for services. The Call Center Specialist serves as a liaison between LBHS and referral sources, patients and families. The primary function of the Call Center Specialist is to facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals and other referral sources in support of the call center operations. The Call Center Specialist prioritizes referrals made to LBHS and provides exceptional customer service to all partnering agencies, thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other admissions related paperwork is a critical component of the job.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Social Services field.
  • Experience: Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
