Who we're looking for:
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Technology & Digital Data Enablement, you will lead the strategy, governance, management and maintenance of digital data collection platforms across our portfolio of websites (Rogers.com, Fido.ca, etc) and mobile applications (MyRogers iOS / Android). This role owns the end-to-end digital data enablement ecosystem ensuring web and mobile behavioural data is consistently captured, governed, trusted, and made available for analytics, profiling, segmentation, activation, and other enterprise data platforms.


You will manage and grow a shared-service team of Analytics Managers, JavaScript developers, and Analytics QA resources embedded into product delivery teams. Acting as a trusted partner to Product, Engineering, Data Insights, Marketing, and Media, you will embed strong data design and quality practices across the full software development lifecycle while enabling scalable, privacy-aware data sharing with downstream platforms.


What you'll do:

  • Digital Data Tagging & Platform Ownership:
    • Lead and actively manage the digital data collection ecosystem, including Adobe Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Adobe Target, Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RT-CDP), and Quantum Metric.
    • Own platform configuration, governance, and technical health across web and mobile applications while ensuring alignment to evolving business and analytics needs.
  • Team Leadership & Shared Services Model:
    • Directly manage a shared-service team of Analytics Managers, JavaScript developers, and Analytics QA supporting multiple product teams. Allocate capacity and manage budget across portfolios, establish clear roles and responsibilities, and drive consistent quality and governance standards while supporting team development and growth.
  • Data Schema Design & Governance:
    • Own web and mobile data layer and event schema design across brands, platforms, and channels. Ensure governed, reusable standards supported by clear documentation and partner closely with Legal and Privacy to ensure compliant data collection and activation.
  • End-to-End Data Collection Lifecycle:
    • Partner with the Data Insights team to ensure collected data is analytics-ready, trusted, and fit for reporting, modelling, and activation. Oversee the full lifecycle from requirements gathering and implementation through QA, release validation, and ongoing regression monitoring.
  • Product & Engineering Enablement:
    • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to educate stakeholders on data requirements and best practices. Define data acceptance criteria, ensure data quality during feature development and releases, and embed tagging and QA practices into agile delivery workflows. Participate and support Digital Releases to ensure key data key events are always available after new product releases. 
  • Activation, Pipelines & Data Sharing:
    • Enable efficient and privacy-aware data sharing with advertising platforms via client-side pixels and server-side integrations (CAPI). Oversee data pipelines feeding enterprise data lake, enterprise warehouses, analytics platforms, optimization tools in partnership with data engineer, production support, EFT/MFT teams. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication:
    • Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Media, Marketing, and Privacy teams. Translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical audiences and champion best practices in digital data governance and measurement maturity across the organisation.

What you bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in digital analytics, tagging, data engineering, or digital data platform roles
  • 5+ years in team leadership capacity managing complex digital data environments
  • Hands-on experience with Data Layer / Adobe Tag Manager / Launch, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Adobe Target, and Quantum Metric
  • Strong expertise in web and mobile app data layer design, event schemas, and tagging governance
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams in agile or product-led environments
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines, digital-to-enterprise data flows, and analytics enablement
  • Experience enabling media and marketing activation through pixels, CAPI, and audience-sharing integrations
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-brand, multi-platform enterprise environments
