Job Summary:
PepsiCo is building the next generation of mobile applications to enhance digital capabilities for their frontline employees. The Principal Software Engineer will lead the design and development of high-performing mobile apps, mentor engineers, and drive the integration of new digital tools.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the architecture and hands-on development of mobile apps using React Native
• Partner with product managers, UX designers, and cloud engineers to deliver global solutions
• Establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
• Mentor engineers and guide technical decision-making across the team
• Explore and Adopt tools such as AI copilots and agents to streamline development and boost productivity.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years in software engineering, with experience building large-scale mobile applications
• 3+ years hands-on with React Native (TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Strong knowledge of iOS/Android app development, APIs, and app store workflows
• Experience leading projects or mentoring teams
Preferred:
• Experience with Salesforce
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with consumer apps at scale
