Position Summary
The SVP, IT Development – Servicing & Core Platforms will lead the modernization of our servicing and cardmember technology ecosystem, transitioning from legacy systems to cloud-native, API-driven platforms. This role will build and scale high-performing engineering teams, establish modern delivery practices, and partner with business leaders to deliver secure, scalable, cardmember-centric capabilities.
This role owns engineering strategy, platform architecture, and execution for core servicing.
 
Essential Job Functions
  • Define and execute a multi-year servicing platform modernization roadmap
  • Build and lead high-performing engineering teams.
  • Establish cloud-native, API-first architecture and DevOps operating model
  • Drive time-to-market improvements through modern SDLC, CI/CD, and platform engineering
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Risk to deliver customer self-service and agent tooling
  • Own engineering governance, financial planning, and vendor strategy
  • Ensure security, resiliency, and regulatory compliance in all platforms
  • Mentor and develop senior engineering leaders
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in technology, engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years in technology leadership, including leading large engineering organizations
  • Functional and Technical knowledge of building and managing Customer Self Service platforms (Web & Mobile) preferably for a large financial institution  
  • Proven track record modernizing legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with modern technology stacks including:
    • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
    • API and microservices architectures
    • Modern web/mobile delivery frameworks
    • Relational and NoSQL data platforms.
  • Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, and platform engineering
  • Experience delivering customer-facing digital platforms at scale
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management
 
Preferred
  • Experience in servicing platforms (cards, lending, banking, or fintech)
  • Experience of technologies and platforms related to Customer Journey Management, Customer Relationship Management, Workforce Management System, Work Case Management, Electronic & Paper Communication (Rendering, Printing & Delivery)
  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
