Job Description

Position Summary  

The Mobile Product Manager will be a key leader on the Digital Product Team, driving and supporting a strategic mobile roadmap and delivering projects to create world-class digital experiences for our resort, hotel properties, and retail businesses. The Mobile Product Manager will hold our guest experience at the highest priority as they deliver mobile experiences that honor our brand promise. As an integral member of the Product team, the Mobile Product Manager leverages user analytics and data-driven insights to inform product decisions, build cross-functional alignment on project scope, develop detailed business requirements, collaborate with stakeholders on solution design, oversee quality assurance, and provide ongoing support to business partners across our mobile application platforms. The Mobile Product Manager reports to the Senior Director of Product.  

The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $130,500. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions & Key Responsibilities 

  • Act as Product Owner in a development environment, running sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives for off-site development teams 
  • Serves as a Project Manager, wearing many hats, including; vendor management, QA, communication, documentation, project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, always prioritizing on-time, on-budget delivery 
  • Serves as a subject-matter expert in mobile design, product, usability, features, usage, reporting, and KPIs, and instill this knowledge in Aspen One's mobile product roadmap  
  • Define and write requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams based on guest needs, market and technology trends, keeping operational efficiencies in mind but never prioritizing over guest benefit/impact 
  • Support the Digital Team and Aspen One strategy by providing effective and timely communication around current issues, possible solutions, and impact 
  • Support and work closely with all stakeholders, including business unit teams, digital marketing, operations, and technology teams to decide and prioritize features, design, and functionality related to digital products, throughout the product lifecycle 
  • Develop and apply a comprehensive understanding of Aspen One's business, customer journeys, product ecosystem, marketing strategies, financial models, and industry landscape to deliver impactful digital solutions that drive business and guest outcomes 
  • Partner with analytics teams to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of mobile metrics and KPIs 
  • Work with engineering teams and vendors to estimate work, make smart trade-offs, define milestones and deliver outcomes 
  • Manage development outcomes to ensure timing and delivery can meet business expectations 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree is required 
  • 3+ years of combined experience in Product Management, Digital Consulting, Project Management or Business Analyst role for a B2C tech product required 
  • 3 years of experience building and delivering mobile application experiences is required 
  • 2 years of experience managing internal development teams required 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Proficient knowledge with mobile environments including; app store management, app store optimization, native/cross-platform awareness, push notifications and in-app messaging, device/OS fragmentation testing, and crash reporting and app stability   
  • Proficient experience using AI tools for efficiency in PRD/BRD/story writing  
  • Experience managing vendors, including development and design firms  
  • Familiarity with using design, project management, and analytics tools including Figma, Jira/Confluence, and GA4 is required 
  • Proficient experience in Agile project methodologies 
  • Experience with open APIs and headless systems to create custom user experiences 
  • Experience working with matrixed teams and vendor partners  
  • Experience with content management systems, including Contentstack and Sitecore 
  • Experience working in the travel, tourism, leisure, ski resort, luxury retail, or hospitality industries highly preferred 
  • Analytical mindset, mastery of leveraging user analytics and testing methodologies to inform a product roadmap  
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems in clear and concise requirements for modern web, mobile or ecommerce applications 
  • Ability to be a student of mobile comps in our industry, and push innovation 
  • Ability to gain a deep understanding of the Aspen One guest and how digital touchpoints influence and shape experiences for them. Always seek to improve the Customer Experience and NPS 
  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout development to convey progress, issues, bottlenecks, and opportunities

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements 
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions 
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or withassistance
