Job description

Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Quality Inspector positions for a Manufacturing company in Piedmont, SC. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Administers quality assurance inspections and tests on materials, products, components, parts, and processes according to established quality control methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained as per customer requirements.
• Maintains all documentation and paperwork relevant to day-to-day activities.
• Assigns all rejected material to the appropriate areas.
• Reports any discrepancies or non-conformances to management.
• Provides required training and materials to Operators.
• Provides support to Quality Engineering.
• Participates in providing suggestions to reduce costs and improve processes.
• Completes any other reasonable requests made by management.
• Contributes to a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize, and support) are supported and adhered to.
• Ensures full compliance with U.S. and state laws while representing the company or during the use of any company-provided equipment.

Compensation (USD):

$20.00/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Monday – Friday

2nd Shift
4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Monday – Friday

3rd Shift
12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
Monday – Friday

Note: Overtime on Saturdays occurs frequently. Sunday work is very rare.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Clean background/drug screen (no felonies).
• 1–2 years of previous experience as a Quality Technician.
• Basic knowledge of stamping and welding processes.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Quality Containment.
• Background in audits/verification of parts using check fixtures.
