Job Summary The incumbent will play a key role in supporting, stabilizing, and evolving mobility applications and integration systems. The primary mandate will be to investigate, diagnose, and resolve production incidents impacting mobile applications, backend services, APIs, data flows, and integrations with enterprise systems. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of complex distributed environments. This person will work closely with IT, product, operations, store support, and vendor teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the mobility platform. Main Responsibilities Production Support and Triage - Primary Focus Investigate and resolve production incidents affecting mobile applications, backend services, and integration layers. Perform root cause analysis on data discrepancies, transaction failures, and service outages. Monitor systems, application logs, and pipelines to detect anomalies and proactively prevent issues. Collaborate with business and support teams to assess, prioritize, and resolve incidents. Implement resiliency patterns such as retry, circuit breaker, and fallback to improve system stability. Development and Enhancements Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting mobility applications. Contribute to full-stack solutions including Angular or React interfaces and APIs. Integrate third-party systems such as ERP, POS, and e-commerce platforms. Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices. Deliver enhancements and bug fixes in a fast-paced Agile environment. Data and Integration Engineering Develop and maintain event-driven pipelines, including Kafka, streaming, and batch processes. Ensure data integrity and consistency across retail and enterprise systems. Diagnose synchronization issues between POS, ERP, and e-commerce platforms. Support large-scale data processing and data migrations. Cloud and Platform Operations Support and operate systems deployed on GCP. Develop and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities. Optimize system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Collaboration Work with cross-functional teams including product, operations, store support, and vendors. Translate business issues into technical diagnoses and concrete solutions. Act as a reference for developers on debugging, observability, and best practices. Required Skills Backend and Integration Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and/or Node.js. Experience designing and developing REST APIs, GraphQL, and event-driven systems. Knowledge of Kafka, messaging systems, or streaming architectures. Frontend and Mobility Experience with Angular, React, Swift, Kotlin, or Android SDK. Understanding of mobile application environments and mobility-related challenges. Cloud and DevOps Hands-on experience with GCP. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, GitLab, or Jenkins. Data and Systems Analysis Strong SQL and data modeling skills. Experience diagnosing data pipelines, integrations, and transactional flows.
