job summary:

We are seeking an experienced React Native Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Bentonville, AR. This role will focus on building and enhancing cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native and modern JavaScript technologies.


This is a hybrid position, with an expectation of working onsite in Bentonville approximately 2-3 days per week.


Candidates located outside of Northwest Arkansas are welcome to apply; however, relocation must be completed prior to the start date, and candidates must be available onsite in Bentonville from Day 1.


This opportunity is available on a W2 basis only. C2C, 1099, and third-party employment arrangements are not available.

  • Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
  • Build modern mobile interfaces for both iOS and Android
  • Develop reusable and scalable components using JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, and Redux
  • Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, third-party libraries, and backend services
  • Implement new features while maintaining application stability, performance, and usability
  • Refactor existing code and troubleshoot application defects
  • Participate in technical design and architecture discussions
  • Write and maintain unit, functional, and end-to-end automated tests
  • Support mobile application build, deployment, and CI/CD processes
  • Collaborate with product, UX/UI, engineering, and other technical teams
  • Contribute to application accessibility, performance, reliability, and overall user experienceNative

qualifications:

5+ years of professional front-end or mobile application development experience


Strong hands-on experience developing mobile applications using React Native


3+ years of experience with JavaScript and React Native/Redux


Experience building applications for both iOS and Android


Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, React Native, and Redux


Experience working with REST APIs and third-party libraries


Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles


Experience with unit testing, functional testing, and end-to-end automation


Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern software development practices


Understanding of mobile UI/UX, responsive design, and accessibility standards


Experience with Node.js or server-side JavaScript is a plus


Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills


Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
