What is a MOBA?

MOBA stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena, a popular genre of video games where players compete in teams, usually five versus five, to destroy the opposing team's base. Each player controls a unique character, known as a ‘hero’ or ‘champion,’ with specialized abilities. Games like League of Legends, Dota 2, and Smite are among the most well-known MOBAs. Regular playtesting, iterative design adjustments, and prompt patch releases are industry-standard practices to address these challenges, ensuring a competitive and enjoyable experience for the player base.
