Overview Join Our Team as a Surgical First Assist โ€“ THIS IS AN OR-ONLY ROLE.

What You'll Do
  • Lead as First Assist:Serve as the primary surgical first assist, providing critical hands-on support throughout procedures.
  • Set the Stage Pre-Op:Confirm cases, meet patients, walk them through procedures, gather documentation, and coordinate closely with OR staff.
  • Deliver in the OR:Support patient positioning, maintain a sterile field, anticipate the surgeon's next move, and work in sync with the surgical team.
  • Follow Through Post-Op:Assist with patient transfer, deliver thorough PACU handoffs, and complete documentation with precision.
  • Help Us Get Better:Contribute to clinical and operational initiatives โ€” education, training, and process improvement.
  • Keep Growing:Bring a willingness to learn new surgical specialties and expand your skill set.
Qualifications

What You Bring

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of surgical assisting experience
  • Hands-on experience assisting in Ortho, Spine, General, GYN, and Robotics
  • Spine experience is a plus

Education & Credentials:

  • Strong technical skills in the operating room
  • Graduate of an Accredited program- PA/NP/CSFA
  • Ability to acquire MN state license

Physical Requirements: Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation, including:
