Job Title: Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) – Core Lab Generalist (Reference Lab)
Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Options (3rd Shift):

  • Monday–Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Tuesday–Saturday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) to join our Core Laboratory team in a high-volume reference lab setting. This is a full-time, permanent night shift opportunity ideal for professionals who thrive in an independent, fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high-quality patient results.

As a Core Lab Generalist, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic testing across multiple disciplines, contributing to accurate and timely laboratory results that directly impact patient care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in areas including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Review and verify patient results, recognizing abnormal findings and taking appropriate action
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards, safety protocols, and laboratory policies
  • Assist with specimen processing and workflow management in a reference lab environment
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
  • MT/MLS certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred or required (depending on employer)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred (new grads may be considered)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently on night shift with minimal supervision
