About This Job:
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Project Manager. In this role you will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. This is a customer-facing role with strong relationship building responsibilities with the government customer as well as with equipment/software vendors and associated contractors. The selected applicant may frequently be working in a technical project manager capacity, working directly with technical personnel and, on occasion, with senior leadership to provide status updates.
Additionally, the selected applicant will provide leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of one or more information technology systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Additional duties include providing technical expertise to the government customer in developing and maintaining robust program operational tools and processes.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Lead the assessment of IT systems and documentation requirements. Partner with government and contractor personnel to assist in conducting business needs assessments to align technology investments with organizational objectives and identify infrastructure strengths, weaknesses, and redundancies.
  • Create phased, long-term timelines for infrastructure upgrades, software rollouts, and digital innovations. Develop an Execution Framework detailing project milestones and clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Engage with government representatives, contractor partners, business unit leaders, and executives to identify operational needs.
  • Track key engagements to ensure consistent communication and accountability across all parties.
  • Assist in the development of high-level briefings, reports, and presentations for executive leadership.
  • Translate complex technical data into strategic insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Evaluate the IT environment for vulnerabilities and establish robust mitigation and compliance plans to protect organizational assets.
  • Develop high-impact visual aids, including strategic roadmaps, executive dashboards, and organizational charts, to establish a common operating picture for all stakeholders.

Required Skills and Education
Required Education, Experience, & Skills for this Position:
  • High School diploma with 10+ years of relevant work experience, or
  • Bachelor's Degree (typically in computer science, information technologies, etc.) and 7+ years of progressive technical experience, or
  • MS Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Technical knowledge of systems, networks, and application security, as well as a solid understanding of enterprise-level security frameworks, policies, processes, and standards
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
