Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Intern for our Kent, WA, USA location.

Summary pay range: $21 - $24 hourly rate.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Support risk evaluation, risk mitigation and process monitoring activities utilizing Data Analysis, Process monitoring, Process control, and Continuous Process Improvement.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with Corrective Action Systems
  • Identify and implement composite manufacturing improvements
  • Quality inspection activities
  • Engineering lab work using basic hand tools.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize data and create basic test reports given an example format
  • Perform assigned tasks on schedule within budgeted hours
  • Supply visibility to management of potential problems

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program with minimum of 2 years completed at an accredited college or university in Engineering or other related field with curriculum such as: Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Calculus, or Statistics.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Ability to multi task effectively within a team environment in managing priorities.
  • Passionate about aerospace, manufacturing and innovation
  • Ability to work independently, learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
  • Proficient use of, MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Power Point
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
