Missions :

The Assistant Director of Finance supports the daily financial activities of the hotel, working alongside with the Director of Finance and works closely with other departments, assuring that the hotel has all necessary financial support to deliver an extraordinary service to our guests.

Profile :

  • Developing means improving profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities, etc.

  • Responsible for implementing company policies and regulations, creating new ones as needed while coordinating with the Director of Finance.

  • Processes and prepares financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.

  • Oversee the AP, AR, GL, and Cash functions.

  • Reviews and audits financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.

  • Responsible for the reconciliation and justification of accounts, oversee and manage individual accounts.

  • Participates in the follow-up of contracts and subscriptions, monitoring the terms and ensuring compliance.

  • Assists with the preparation of monthly financial reports.

  • Participates in the maintenance and justification of the distribution accounts.

  • Supervises the activities of purchasing and receiving team.

  • Prepares and reviews provisions of the previous month, ensuring efficient month-end financial closing.

  • Posts the entries for the monthly and annual closing.

  • Supports the organization and management of purchasing team.

  • Ensures the follow-up, control, allocation, and payment of expense reports.

  • Maintains a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability and manage business risks. Ensures compliance with all appropriate and required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What you bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial position in the hospitality industry.

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

  • Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.

  • Full-Time position

  • Advanced skills in Excel tools and functions, and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong knowledge of main accounting systems (such as: POS, Opera, Simphony tacs).

  • Previous experience of auditing accounts.

  • Must be able to spend extended periods of time at a desk typing, reading and working on a computer.
