Post Ranch Inn Reservations Agent

We are seeking a Full-Time Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team and deliver personalized, world-class service to guests from around the globe. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, guest-focused, and passionate about luxury hospitality.

This is a full-time position working 4–5 days per week based out of our Big Sur or Carmel office locations. Compensation range is $19.50–$22.00 per hour, plus incentive opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests via phone and email
  • Assist guests with room reservations, availability inquiries, modifications, cancellations, and special requests
  • Thoroughly describe accommodations, amenities, dining experiences, resort services, and special packages
  • Efficiently coordinate and confirm guest arrangements with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain clear and professional communication using proper grammar and hospitality standards
  • Process reservation requests, guest correspondence, and follow-up tasks in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all guest and company information
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of resort facilities, room types, rates, promotions, and departmental procedures
  • Utilize the property management system and reservation platforms efficiently and accurately
  • Support collaboration between Reservations, Front Desk, PBX, and other resort departments
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Reservations Manager

Qualifications & Technical Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in reservations, hospitality, or guest service preferred
  • Previous luxury or boutique hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience using hotel property management systems and reservation software preferred
  • Intermediate computer and typing skills required
  • General understanding of Front Desk and PBX operations preferred
  • Basic math and administrative skills required
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
Work Environment & Schedule
  • On-site position located in Big Sur or Carmel, California
  • Full-time schedule working 4–5 days per week
  • Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on the computer and phone
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements including typing and phone usage
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds when necessary
  • Ability to bend, reach, stretch, stoop, squat, and move throughout the work environment as needed
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
