Community Health Worker
Team: Mobile Health Operations

General
As a Community Health Worker, you will:
  • Safely drive the mobile medical clinic to pre-arranged locations within the community
  • Ensure the vehicle is stocked, organized, and operational; promptly report any mechanical or equipment issues
  • Set up the clinic and ensure it is properly prepared to serve patients
  • Maintain accurate records of the clinic's schedules, locations, and patient flow
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Oversee and maintain all aspects of clinic operations
  • Greet patients, provide information about available services, and ensure they feel comfortable during their visits
  • Assist with data collection to assess community health needs and improve services
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of medical supplies and maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Comply with health, safety, transportation, and mobile healthcare regulations
  • Help maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the mobile clinic

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in healthcare, community health, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in community health, patient outreach, or a related field is preferred
    • BLS certified required
    • Bi-lingual required
  • Performance: Able and willing to provide world-class service to all stakeholders

Talents & Abilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive a large vehicle (mobile clinic)
  • Ability to drive for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting 30 pounds and assisting in setting up mobile clinic equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and build rapport with community members
  • Basic knowledge of health education, preventative care, and community resources
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Strong awareness of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment
  • 100% Onsite
  • Travel to various community locations, often in underserved or rural areas
  • Flexible working hours, including some evenings or weekends, depending on the clinic's schedule
  • Regular work on and around the mobile unit, including event setup and patient engagement
  • When mobile clinic events are not scheduled, this position will operate as a Medical Assistant within the brick-and-mortar clinic as needed
  • Community-facing role requiring strong interpersonal communication and professionalism
  • Fast-paced environment with outdoor work and varied weather conditions

Salary & Benefits
  1. 80 PTO hours available after the first 60 days of service
  2. Medical insurance - 100% employer contribution, participating plans
  3. $10K Life insurance - 100% employer contribution

  5. 401K - 120 days eligibility is fully vested with up to a 4% match
  6. Weekly payday, every Friday
  7. Quarterly profit sharing, up to 20% of annual wages.
