Job description

Genesis Utility Inc. is seeking an experienced Telecom Construction Supervisor.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cable and fiber installation industry. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations for your assigned team of technicians and contract partners. As a Telecom Construction Supervisor, you will be expected to uphold the company's principles including integrity, quality, teamwork, and client experience always.

Responsibilities: 
This position is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Supervising local individuals or contractors as determined by management.
  • The Telecom Construction Supervisor will have direct contact with our customer. It is important that these relationships are maintained and developed.
  • Managing day-to-day field operations for an assigned team, communicating with other members of local support staff, and resolving issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with all field related performance metrics.
  • Enforce client safety practices by completing random safety site inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • BACKGROUND CHECK will be administered, including DRUG TEST.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office programs, Whats App & other Apps.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3-year cable or related industry experience required.
  • Previous leadership experience in cable or related industry, project coordination and time management.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.

  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry 80-100 lbs
  • Must be comfortable with heights up to 28 feet
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees (Spanish-speaking), management, peers, etc.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry)
  • Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (hydraulic lift buckets, ladders)
  • Must be able to work in a loud, noise-filled environment out in the field (drills, compressors)

On The Job Training provided for setting up traffic control, the requirements before starting to dig, Crew Reports, Bore Logs, and Posting pictures of every step of the project.

1099 Position

Bilingual Spanish & English - OR WILLNG TO LEARN for basic communication

Willing to travel out of state (hotel will be offered at company’s expense)

Navigate Apps like Timestamps (info on picture), and WhatsApp (texting & uploading receipts, pictures, and videos).

Candidate should have a clear understanding of the following:

1. Relocation mandatory as jobs stop and start; hotels are paid for by the company outside a reasonable driving range.

2. BYOV: Bring Your Own Vehicle. Company pays for fuel and oil changes.

3. Guidelines must be followed (internal policies and external safety rules)

4. Willing to work Saturdays (6 days a week)
