At VCI, as a Supervisor Telecom Construction, you'll oversee all aspects of underground outside plant (OSP) construction, from managing resources and project schedules to ensuring quality and safety standards are met. It also includes being the main point of contact for statewide underground projects and participating in the recruitment and training of construction crews.

What you'll do
  • Manage in house and subcontracted resources performing underground outside plant (OSP) construction by coordinating construction efforts with drill crews, project scheduling, and cost tracking
  • Participate in the recruiting, hiring, and training of in-house employees and subcontractor underground crews
  • To be the primary point of contact related to state-wide underground construction
  • Track the required deliverables from data collection to review and distribution
  • Monitor quality of work product and compliance with contract terms
  • Oversee the general maintenance and care of company underground equipment and assets
  • Ensure the use of proper construction techniques/standards and adherence to safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • 3+ years of underground cable construction and minimum of 6 months of supervisory experience
  • Understand all facets of the underground cable construction process.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Able to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies for financial issues.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skill
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License

The wage range for Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00
