Miscellaneous Metals and Structural Steel Detailer
Borrelli Steel Fabricators has specialized in detailing, fabrication of structural steel, stairs and miscellaneous metals in the tri-state area for over 30 years and is located in Vineland, New Jersey.
We are seeking a Miscellaneous Metals and Structural Steel Detailer and have immediate openings for experienced candidates.
Ideal candidate would have 5 years of experience in Structural and Miscellaneous steel detailing and checking. He/she should be able to work well with team members and have excellent communication skills.
Job Description:
Position will be working directly with Drafting Lead and Project Managers to see a project through its entirety (including but not limited to: In-House shop drawings, Fabrication and Installation drawings). Were seeking someone with a good work ethic who likes meeting challenges and can multitask. Opportunities to grow into specialized roles available.
Requirements:
Proficient in AutoCad Advanced Steel, Tekla, or similar software.
Must be able to take/read field measurements, read blueprints.
Must be able to detail steel connections, elevations, stairs and railings.

Job Duties:

Generate steel framing plans, sections, and shop details using the above-mentioned 3D software.
Keep all drawings up to date and maintain drawing logs.
Take field measurements when necessary.
Scrub CAD files and make any corrections for detailers.
Sketch and use CAD to generate part and shop details as required.
Generate NC files and DXF files.
Monitor projects and report progress and status to project management.
Document control including R.F.I. logs, submittals and contract conformance.
Manufacturing bill of materials.
Program shop details into software to make ready for shop.
Attend project meetings.
