Summary/objective

The MIS (Management Information Systems) Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and support of the company's information systems, with a focus on providing technical assistance to Franchise Members and internal teams. These systems serve as the primary business management and point-of-sale platforms our Franchise Members use to run their day-to-day operations, including estimating and order entry, scheduling and tracking jobs, invoicing customers, and managing revenue and financial information. This position also supports the optimization of workflow processes to enhance efficiency and data accuracy across the organization.

Essential functions
  • System Support & Maintenance:
    • Provide technical support for the company’s MIS platforms (CoreBridge, Printer’s Plan and PrintSmith Vision) including troubleshooting system issues and resolving user problems.
    • Monitor system performance and ensure timely updates and patches to maintain optimal operation.
    • Collaborate with vendor partners or IT teams for advanced system fixes or enhancements.
    • Provide training and transition assistance to new Franchise Members.
  • QuickBooks:
    • Provide support for QuickBooks configuration, account mapping, reconciliation processes, and integration workflows through training, troubleshooting, and documentation.
    • Support franchise center ownership transitions, including WIP review, system setup, training coordination, and operational readiness for resale and acquisition activity.
    • Create and maintain documentation, training materials, job aids, and troubleshooting guides for common QuickBooks integrated workflows.
  • Workflow Optimization & Development:
    • Analyze and document current workflows to identify inefficiencies or improvement opportunities.
    • Implement and support tools or technologies that streamline workflow processes for franchise members and internal teams.
    • Train users on workflow best practices and new system functionalities.
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologies.
  • Training & Documentation:
    • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for Franchise Members and staff on MIS platforms, workflows, and QuickBooks integrations.
    • Create and maintain documentation, including user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides for MIS platforms and QuickBooks-related processes
  • Act as the primary point of contact for franchise members for MIS-related inquiries and support.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align system functionalities with business needs.
  • Gather feedback from end-users to recommend system improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including non-technical users.
  • Skilled at translating complex software functionality and workflows into clear, easy-to-understand guidance for end users with varying levels of technical proficiency.

Required education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field, or 3+ years if equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in MIS support, technical troubleshooting, or related roles
  • Familiarity with database management, CRM systems, and workflow tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred education and experience
  • Preferred experience in franchising or multi-brand environment
  • Familiarity with CoreBridge, Plan Prophet, Printers Plan, and PrintSmith Vision, a plus
  • Preferred proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of automation tools or scripting for workflow optimization
  • Certification in relevant systems or software
