Job description

Miracle Hill Ministries is South Carolina's largest and most comprehensive provider of homeless services. At our core, we exist to serve people experiencing homelessness-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We share the Good News of Jesus with them as they move toward independence, stability, and healthy relationships.Summary / Purpose of Position: This position's primary responsibility is to efficiently and effectively receive, process, prepare, price and sell donated goods. The thrift associate will support the sales floor, fitting room, cash register, back of house processing and/or receiving areas as required, depending on the needs of the store as determined by the supervisor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive donations in a courteous and professional manner from our valued donors and truck drivers.Ensure all donated goods are properly sorted, priced, and staged for sale in a timely manner. Work with a sense of urgency to consistently meet production goals while ensuring quality.Assist truck drivers and customers in the loading and unloading of donated goods. Prepare and rotate crates in and out of processing areas to ensure efficiency of production.Warmly greet and treat all customers and donors with respect, fostering an exceptional experience.Ring up sales transactions and maintain cash register with integrity and accuracy.Answer phones and make store announcements in a professional and courteous manner.Maintain work areas and store appearance in a neat, clean, and organized condition at all times.Follow all safety procedures and report all safety hazards and accidents immediately to supervisor.Operate pallet jack and/or forklift (if certified) in a safe and proper manner.Have a willingness to share the good news of Jesus Christ, give a personal testimony and pray with/for those served by the ministry.Perform other duties assigned by store manager and supervisor.Core Attributes and Expectations:Display a life that reflects Miracle Hill's Core values: Christ-centered, compassion, integrity, continual growth.
