Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintenance Program Specialist manages the ABX Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection Program (MIP), ensuring compliance with corporate, manufacturer and FAA requirements. Ensure that the MIP is maintained to include corporate, Maintenance Planning Data (MPD) and applicable Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) requirements; maintain maintenance program task cards, related graphics and material/tool requirement listings; author task cards using information extracted from Engineering Orders and STC Instructions for Continued Airworthiness; maintain maintenance program change history; collect maintenance program routine and non-routine data, conduct analysis and make recommendations for program improvement; make recommendations to add, delete or change task intervals or task type, improving reliability and lowering operating costs; maintain an Excel master maintenance program bridging document, capturing all MIP elements for a given model airplane; bridge newly acquired aircraft into the MIP; maintain automated MIP control parameters in the MXI software System.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or GED
• Multiple years of diversified large aircraft maintenance experience in CFR 121 operations to include fault resolution for systems, corrosion control and structural repair, or equivalent BS of Mechanical Engineering.
• A&P License, foreign equivalent, or BS of Mechanical Engineering, or Maintenance Program experience equivalent.
• Proficiency with Excel
• Ability to develop proficiency working in aircraft maintenance and engineering software systems relative to the Maintenance Program Specialist position
• Minimal travel required
• Prior background in Airbus Aircraft Maintenance Programs

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Working knowledge of content available in the FAA Regulatory Guidance Library, the ATA MSG-3 Operator/Manufacturer Scheduled Maintenance Development document and Boeing technical documents such as MPD, MRBR and MID
• Prior experience as a Maintenance Programs Specialist or in a fleet service engineering function
• A330 Airbus experience
• MXI and IDMR competent
