We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Youth Wellness Facilitator to support our innovative #MIP: Me, In Progress teen Wellness Program serving middle and high school–aged youth. #MIP is designed to enhance teen well-being through exploration, connection, and experiential wellness programming. The program helps youth build resilience, discover strengths and passions, and develop meaningful peer connections.

The Youth Wellness Facilitator in Winter Park serves as a key point of contact for youth in the program and plays a vital role in youth engagement, daily operations, and the successful delivery of wellness activities. This position is ideal for someone passionate about empowering youth and supporting their journey toward confident, healthy adulthood.

Snapshot of What You'll Do

  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to youth participating in #MIP programs and excursions, being present for guidance, support, and inquiries.
  • Foster meaningful connections with participants by understanding their interests, needs, and goals.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the #MIP program, ensuring activities and schedules run smoothly.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain program quality and address operational needs.
  • Support communication efforts with youth, families, and community partners.
  • Serve as a liaison between participants and program staff, sharing feedback and helping address concerns.
  • Partner with colleagues to develop and facilitate engaging wellness-focused programs, events, and activities.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages personal growth, resilience, and well-being.
  • Help youth build confidence, strengthen life skills, and develop healthy strategies for overcoming challenges.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience working with youth or in an educational setting involving program coordination, student leadership, mentorship, counseling, or related support services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage youth, parents, educators, and community stakeholders.
  • Ability to build rapport, actively listen, and connect with youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple programs, activities, and events simultaneously.
  • Passion for youth development, mental wellness, and fostering positive outcomes for young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a positive and supportive presence.
  • Ability to supervise youth in both on-site and off-site program settings.
  • Ability to use adaptive equipment, positioning equipment, and technology as needed.
