Job description

Experienced Carpenter (Commercial, Retail, Institutional & Industrial)

Are you a skilled Carpenter with expertise in diverse commercial projects? We're actively seeking dedicated Carpenters to join our team, working on exciting commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial projects throughout the Grand Rapids and West Michigan areas.

We have opportunities for both experienced Carpenters and those ready to step into leadership roles as a Lead Carpenter or General Trades Foreman, depending on your proven experience in project and personnel management.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute high-quality finish carpentry, including trim, laminate, and cabinet/countertop installation.
  • Perform skilled rough carpentry, including frame, door, and hardware installation.
  • Accurately interpret and apply blueprints, plans, and specifications to all projects.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Maintain excellent communication with team members and project stakeholders.
  • Strictly adhere to all MIOSHA/OSHA safety practices on every job site.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in finish carpentry, rough carpentry, laminate, trim, cabinet/countertop installation, and frame/door/hardware installation.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A commitment to safety excellence and knowledge of MIOSHA/OSHA regulations.
  • Leadership potential for Lead Carpenter or General Trades Foreman roles (experience managing projects and personnel preferred).

Bonus Qualifications:

  • 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA certification.

Compensation will be based on your experience and qualifications.
