Fife-Pearce, family-owned since 1923, adds specialized capabilities in magnetic chuck repair and controls and has expanded our Metro Detroit Service Center operations into a larger, state-of-the-art facility.

Together, we serve a wide range of industries, including power generation, metals, mining, paper, wastewater, OEM manufacturing, and more.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an Electric Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to work in a team that values quality and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and assemble electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment
  • Perform mechanical rebuilds and precision measurements using micrometers, dial indicators, and vibration meters
  • Conduct electrical testing using multimeters, meggers, and Baker instruments
  • Record measurements and document all work performed
  • Participate in daily discussions around customer projects and workflow improvements

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of AC/DC motor repair experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with motors, pumps, fans, and gearboxes
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
