Description
At Badger Mining, procurement is more than purchasing. It's about building strategic partnerships, managing risk, driving continuous improvement, and helping our operations succeed.
We're looking for a Procurement & Contracts Lead to serve as the company's subject matter expert for sourcing, contracts, vendor management, and procurement governance. This role will work directly with plant leaders, suppliers, and business stakeholders to influence major purchasing decisions, negotiate key agreements, and develop procurement strategies that create long-term value.
What You'll Do
  • Lead sourcing, supplier selection, and vendor qualification activities.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, service agreements, leases, and other business agreements.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and ISO requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance, pricing, and lead times.
  • Lead vendor audits, scorecards, and performance reviews.
  • Support plant operations with procurement guidance, contract administration, and purchasing strategies.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead company-wide pricing and standardization initiatives.
  • Develop procurement policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Analyze procurement metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate major equipment purchases and support capital projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, contract administration, or related experience.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, and vendor oversight.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
